Ganache Chocolate Sauce

I made Day and Night cake for a benefit dinner we had at our church and also made Ina Garten's "Chocolate Sauce" which I drizzled on top of the creamed cake. Although I don't have pictures it was very easy to make and you can use this to dip fruit in, over your ice cream or to pour over any other baked goods. I like it because it has a little coffee and honey in it which gives it wonderful flavor.

Ganache Chocolate Sauce

You need:
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons prepared coffee

  • 1. Place the cream and chocolate chips in a bowl set over simmering water and stir just until the chocolate melts.
2. Add the honey and coffee and stir until smooth.
3. Set aside for a few minutes and then use immediately for whatever you would like.
